(FILMICAS) - Los Premios de la Academia Británica de Cine (BAFTA Film Awards) son el equivalente británico de los Oscars y buscan premiar anualmente lo mejor del cine que se ha estrenado el Reino Unido. Creados en 1948 por la Academia Británica de Cine y Televisión, estos premios se han convertido en unos de los más importantes del cine a nivel mundial y en una vitrina para la industria cinematográfica británica. Este año, “Gravity” lidera las nominaciones con 11, seguida de “American Hustle” y “12 Years a Slave” con 10 cada una. Vale la pena resaltar que “Dallas Buyers Club” y “Her”, que se venían perfilando como posibles favorita para las nominaciones en los Oscars, fueron completamente ignoradas, lo cual representa un gran golpe para sus esperanzas en los Oscars, aunque quizás tenga que ver con el hecho de que serán estrenadas en febrero en el Reino Unido, cerca a la fecha límite de elegibilidad para los BAFTA. “Inside Llewyn Davis”, por su parte, se llevó tan sólo una nominación a Mejor Fotografía, también un muy fuerte golpe.
